About

One would think that a person who’s spent their entire life making themselves invisible wouldn’t become a visual artist. Well, I had no choice. Art was and is still my safe space. It serves as a stress reliever, anxiety reducer and the peaceful sanctuary where I go to meet myself after wrestling with imposter syndrome.

I often didn’t know the difference between outside voices and my own. Art helped me cope and heal while i learned to listen to my inner wisdom and less to my inner wounds. With each stroke of the paint brush I grew more and more into my truest self.

Balance soon came in the form of f-bomb affirmations, R&B lofi, incense and french fries.

Hi, I’m Jennifer Griffin aka Zen Diva Noire aka Jenni-Poo, an above average Virgo with a passion for creativity and encouraging black women to use our natural creativity to meet our inner child, heal trauma and practice self care.

Beyond that, I can effortlessly switch gears from deep discussions on self actualization, to thrift shop hauls to the state of the MCU, all with a paint brush in one hand and a glass of wine in the other.

Life has taught me and continues to teach me that artistic self-care is the key to healing. It enables self-expression, empowerment, community building and problem solving.

If this resonates with you, then join me on this journey, my friend. Just remember this: I’m imperfect until the end, unapologetically expressive, still grappling with anxiety, but always eager to share, create, and explore the realm of emotional empowerment, growth and mental health.
