As a person who’s never really been good at taking up space, I find myself drawn to the uncontained. The women and girls who refuse to be put in a box. Those who can’t be ignored even if they tried. This experimental journey into new materials and techniques is a celebration of the natural innovation of black women and girls that spill out into all of society. Each piece wants to leave the canvas and break out of frame.
